We’re Taking on the Kiltwalk for Positive Stories for Negative Times
HELP US CREATE A POSITIVE STORY
This year, the Wonder Fools team is taking on the Kiltwalk to raise funds for Positive Stories for Negative Times — our programme bringing free, high-quality theatre and creative opportunities to young people.
Since 2020, Positive Stories for Negative Times has reached more than 12,000 young people and over 1,000 teachers and group leaders through new plays, creative resources and participatory opportunities. We created the programme to make sure more young people can access culture, creativity and connection, wherever they are.
For too many young people, the arts can feel out of reach because of cost, distance, lack of local opportunities or access barriers. Positive Stories for Negative Times helps change that by bringing theatre directly into schools, youth groups and communities, and by making participation free.
The impact is real. In our latest season, 91% of young people said taking part gave them a sense of pride and achievement, 90% said they felt confident to take part in drama afterwards, and 91% of teachers and group leaders said the programme increased young people’s access to cultural opportunities.
One young person put it best after participating in the project “I’m so much more confident. Life’s so much more than being shy!”
This year, we need your help to make the programme happen again.
Your donation will help us commission new work, create free resources, support artists and remove barriers so that more young people can feel seen, heard and inspired through theatre.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT HELPS US FUND
- Free plays for schools and youth groups
- Brilliant writers to create new work for young people
- The practical essentials that make participation possible, including access support, travel, food, workshops and resources
Every donation, big or small, will make a real difference.
Thank you for backing our Kiltwalk challenge and helping us continue Positive Stories for Negative Times.
