– Make work with communities that has national ambition and mass appeal.
– Develop the skills and careers of socially engaged artists.
We do this to achieve the following:
– Broaden access to theatre for those who do not usually get the opportunity to engage.
– Empower young people through the arts.

Since its inception in 2017, WF has a proven track record of delivering high-quality arts projects through the three strands of our programme:

  • co-creating ambitious theatre productions with young people and communities

  • delivering groundbreaking creative engagement projects

We are a deeply passionate and creatively restless young theatre company. We are based in Glasgow, but our impact extends across Scotland, the UK, and around the world. WF’s work spans various communities in Scotland with strategic focus areas including East Lothian, Dumfries & Galloway, Ayrshire, Perthshire and the Highlands. We tour our productions and projects throughout Scotland and have a broader national and international presence through Positive Stories for Negative Times.

Since 2020, we have engaged:

  • 14210 Live audiences
  • 2615 Workshop Attendees
  • 18 Countries Reached
  • 9000 Positive Stories for Negative Times Participants

About the Role

Wonder Fools are recruiting a technician to work alongside the creative team of our soon to be announced Edinburgh Fringe show for 2024.

A major part of our programme this year, the show is a one-person, small-scale production with an accompanying live score. Ahead of its run in Edinburgh, rehearsals will take place in Pitlochry (Monday 22nd – Saturday 27th July) and Glasgow (Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th). The show opens in previews in Edinburgh on Wednesday 31st May with a short tech time in the venue TBC, with the run finishing on Sunday 25th August.

We are looking to work with an experienced, collaborative, and skilled technician to join our small team making this ambitious production. With the live score element, we are particularly interested in hearing from people with a background in working with live music.
