In Autumn 2021 we delivered theatre skills workshops to schools across Dumfries & Galloway and through these workshops, employed six young people for paid apprenticeships to work on our theatre show And Then Come The Nightjars which premiered at The Fullarton Theatre, Castle Douglas on the 17th February 2022.

In October 2022, these young people were then given the opportunity to research and develop a local story for a new Wonder Fools show. They past year, during multiple residencies, the young people have been central in developing this seed of an idea into a new full length play. In May 2023, the Young Collaborators came together for a development day to further expand on their idea.
